Self Love

"My heart is open. I choose to experience love every day."

Self Love: Reclaiming Your Internal Compass

One of the hardest things in the self-healing journey is self-love. As human beings, we're programmed to love and be loved. We all want external affection; it’s a nice feeling to have. Being loved by others is often viewed as proof that we’re worthy and cared for.

As often shown in a society that promotes love as being loved by others, when we face rejection or experience any feeling that makes us feel unloved, we devalue ourselves. This isn't right and is not true. This only shows that those people weren't meant for us.

The True Meaning of Love

The truth is, much of what we call love is based on conditioned beliefs and limited experiences—an illusion built from what we witnessed in childhood. We only know of love to the degree we've experienced it. Furthermore, when others show love, their intention isn't always sincere; they may be hiding behind a mask.

This is why self-love is SO important; it defines what authentic love truly means for us.

Activating Your Self-Awareness

When we practice self-love, we activate our self-awareness and internal compass. This inner clarity allows us to instantly discern what aligns with our value and what doesn't. We don't just "spot" insincerity; we feel it immediately, protecting our energy and honoring our worth.

Instead of having our value be dependent on how others view us, it is paramount for us to know how valuable we are internally. Other people don't know the depth of who we are. The ONLY one who truly knows all of your worth and value is Ourselves.

The Choice to Choose You

Instead of waiting for others to treat us better, we must, first, treat ourselves better.

Instead of waiting for others to choose us, we must, first, choose ourselves.

Instead of waiting for others to love us, we must, first, be open to love ourselves.

We must open our hearts to experience the love we are worthy of experiencing and knowing—not the conditional love we grew up knowing that wasn't meant for us.

Tonight, open up yourself to experience the love that's right for you. Every day, practice loving yourself. Experience how that feels. Every day, open yourself to be loved.
